എന്നാല്‍ വീടുനിര്‍മാണത്തിനായി നമുക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഭൂമി എല്ലായ്പ്പോളും അനുയോജ്യമാവണം എന്നില്ല. ആകൃതി ഇല്ലാത്ത ഭൂമിയാണ് കൈവശമെത്തുന്നതെങ്കില്‍ അത് നിശ്ചിത അളവില്‍ ക്രമീകരിച്ച് ഉത്തമ രൂപത്തിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയെടുക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. ചതുരാകൃതിക്ക് പുറത്തേക്കുള്ള തള്ളലുകള്‍ മുറിച്ചു മാറ്റിയോ അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ മതില്‍ കെട്ടിയോ ഭൂമിയെ അനുയോജ്യമായ രൂപത്തില്‍ മാറ്റിയെടുക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കും. അതുപോലെ മുന്‍വശത്താണ് അധികമായി തള്ളല്‍ വരുന്നതെങ്കില്‍ ആ ഭാഗം നല്ലൊരു പൂന്തോട്ടമായി മാറ്റി വീടിന് ഭംഗിയേകുന്നതും നല്ലതാണ്.

തെക്ക് കിഴക്ക് ഭാഗത്തെയാണ് അഗ്നിമൂല എന്ന് പറയുന്നത്. ഈ ഭാഗത്ത് പുറത്തോട്ട് തള്ളി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള ഭൂമിയും ഗൃഹനിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിന് അനുയോജ്യമല്ല. അതുപോലെ, തെക്ക്-കിഴക്ക്, തെക്ക്, വടക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറ്, തെക്ക്-പടിഞ്ഞാറ് എന്നീ ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ പുറത്തോട്ട് തള്ളി നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ഭൂമികളും നിര്‍മാണത്തിന് നല്ലതല്ല. കോണ്‍ രാശികള്‍ കൃത്യം ചതുരാകൃതിയില്‍ വരുന്നതാണ് ശുഭകരമെന്നും വാസ്തു പറയുന്നു.
