സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് കോവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ ഗണ്യമായി വര്‍ധിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പുമായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണ ജോര്‍ജ്. കോവിഡ് രണ്ടാം തരംഗത്തെ അതിജീവിച്ച് സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ കോവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ ഡിസംബര്‍ 26ന് 1824 വരെ കുറഞ്ഞതാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ ക്രിസ്തുമസ്, ന്യൂ ഇയര്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞതോടെ വളരെ പെട്ടെന്ന് കോവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ വര്‍ധിച്ചു. ജനുവരി ഏഴിന് കേവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ 5,000ന് മുകളിലായിരുന്നു. അത് കേവലം 10 ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് നാലിരട്ടിയിലധികമായി വര്‍ധിച്ചെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. 
 
ജനുവരി 12ന് 12,000ന് മുകളിലും ജനുവരി 17ന് 22,000 ന് മുകളിലും എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇനിയും കേവിഡ് കേസുകള്‍ കുത്തനെ ഉയരാതിരിക്കാന്‍ എല്ലാവരും അതീവ ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണം. ആരില്‍ നിന്നും കോവിഡ് പകരുന്ന അവസ്ഥയാണുള്ളത്. സ്വയം സുരക്ഷയാണ് ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനം. പൊതുസ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവര്‍ ശരിയായവിധം എന്‍ 95 മാസ്‌കോ, ഡബിള്‍ മാസ്‌കോ ധരിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
 
കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ചയുമായി താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന പുതിയ കോവിഡ് കേസുകളില്‍ ഏകദേശം 60,161 വര്‍ധനവാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നത്. പുതിയ കേസുകളുടെ വളര്‍ച്ചാ നിരക്കില്‍ 182 ശതമാനം വര്‍ധനവാണ് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ളത്. 
 
നിലവില്‍ രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ച് ചികിത്സയിലുള്ള രോഗികള്‍ 160 ശതമാനവും, ആശുപത്രികളിലെ രോഗികള്‍ 41 ശതമാനവും, ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രികളിലെ രോഗികള്‍ 90 ശതമാനവും, ഐസിയുവിലെ രോഗികള്‍ 21 ശതമാനവും, വെന്റിലേറ്ററിലെ രോഗികള്‍ 6 ശതമാനവും, ഓക്സിജന്‍ കിടക്കകളിലെ രോഗികള്‍ 30 ശതമാനവും വര്‍ധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
 
പ്രായമായവര്‍ക്കും മറ്റനുബന്ധ രോഗമുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും കോവിഡ് ബാധിച്ചാല്‍ പെട്ടന്ന് ഗുരുതരമാകാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണം കുത്തനെ ഉയര്‍ന്നാല്‍ ആശുപത്രികളിലെത്തുന്ന രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണവും ഗുരുതാവസ്ഥയിലെത്തുന്ന രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണവും മരണങ്ങളും അധികമായുണ്ടായേക്കാം. ഇത് ആശുപത്രി സംവിധാനങ്ങളെ സമ്മര്‍ദത്തിലാക്കും. അതിനാല്‍ എല്ലാവരും കൂടുതല്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
 
പൊതു ചടങ്ങുകള്‍ മാര്‍ഗനിര്‍ദേശ പ്രകാരം മാത്രം നടത്തേണ്ടതാണ്. എല്ലായിടത്തും ആളുകളെ പരമാവധി കുറയ്ക്കണം. പനിയും രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങളുള്ളവരും മറച്ചുവച്ച് പൊതുയിടങ്ങളില്‍ ഇറങ്ങരുത്. രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങളുള്ളവര്‍ ആരോഗ്യ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ നിര്‍ദേശമനുസരിച്ച് കോവിഡ് പരിശോധന നടത്തണം. ഓഫീസുകളിലും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും എല്ലാവരും ശരിയായ വിധം മാസ്‌ക് ധരിക്കണം. 
 
ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്ന് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാതിരിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം. കൈ കഴുകുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും തിരക്ക് കൂട്ടരുത്. അടച്ചിട്ട സ്ഥലങ്ങള്‍ കോവിഡ് വ്യാപനത്തിന് കാരണമായതിനാല്‍ ജനാലുകളും വാതിലുകളും തുറന്നിടണം. കടകളിലും ഷോപ്പിംഗ് മാളുകളിലും പോകുന്നവര്‍ ഒരിക്കലും മാസ്‌ക് താഴ്ത്തരുത്. എല്ലാവരും കോവിഡ് മാര്‍ഗനിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പാലിക്കണം.
 
അതേസമയം, പരിശോധിക്കുന്നവരില്‍ നാലിലൊന്നുപേരും പോസിറ്റീവാകുന്ന സ്ഥിതിവിശേഷം അതീവ ഗുരുതര സാഹചര്യമാണെന്നും പരിശോധന വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും ആരോഗ്യ വിദഗ്ധര്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു. സമ്പൂര്‍ണ അടച്ചുപൂട്ടലിന് സമാനമായ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ രണ്ടാഴ്ചത്തേക്കെങ്കിലും ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തണമെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യവിദഗ്ധര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. നിലവില്‍ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സയില്‍ കഴിയുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം ആശ്വാസകരമാണ്. സ്ഥിതി കൂടുതല്‍ സങ്കീര്‍ണമാക്കാതിരിക്കാന്‍ സമ്പൂര്‍ണ അടച്ചുപൂട്ടല്‍ വേണ്ടിവരുമെന്നും എങ്കില്‍ മാത്രമേ ആശുപത്രികളുടെ സര്‍ജ് കപ്പാസിറ്റി മറികടക്കാതെ കോവിഡിനെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാന്‍ സാധിക്കൂ എന്നുമാണ് വിദഗ്ധാഭിപ്രായം. എന്നാല്‍, ജില്ലാ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങള്‍ ആയിരിക്കും ഉചിതമെന്നാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വിലയിരുത്തല്‍.
