ഭാരതീയ നിര്‍മ്മാണ ശാസ്ത്രമായ വാസ്തു ആരോഗ്യകരമായ ജീവിതത്തിനെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നു. പല കാര്യത്തിലും ജ്യോതിഷ വിദഗ്ധരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം ആരാഞ്ഞശേഷമാണ് നമ്മൾ പലതും ചെയ്യുന്നത്. വാസസ്ഥലം പ്രകൃതിയുമായി യോജിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ വേണമെന്നാണ് ഈ പുരാതന ശാസ്ത്രം നിഷ്കര്‍ഷിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രയോജനപ്രദങ്ങളായ ചില വാസ്തു നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ ഇതാ,
 
* വീടിന്‍റെ പ്രധാന വാതിലിന് വാസ്തു ശാസ്ത്രം പ്രാധാന്യം കല്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു. പ്രധാന വാതിലില്‍ എപ്പോഴും നല്ല പ്രകാശം ലഭിക്കണം.
 
* കിടപ്പുമുറിയില്‍ ജലസാന്നിധ്യവും ചെടികളും പാടില്ല.
 
* വീടിന്‍റെ മൂലകള്‍ ഇരുളടഞ്ഞ് കിടക്കരുത്. മൂലകളില്‍ പ്രകാശമെത്തണം.
 
* സ്വീകരണ മുറിയുടെ തെക്കെ ഭിത്തിയില്‍ ഉദയ സൂര്യന്‍റെ ചിത്രം തൂക്കുന്നത് അഭികാമ്യമാണ്.
 
* സ്വീകരണ മുറിയുടെ തെക്ക് കിഴക്ക് മൂലയില്‍ വേണം അക്വേറിയം സ്ഥാപിക്കേണ്ടത്.
 
* പൂജാ മുറി വീടിന്‍റെ വടക്ക് കിഴക്ക് ഭാഗത്ത് വരുന്നതാണ് ഉത്തമം. പൂജാമുറിക്കടുത്ത് കുളിമുറിയും കക്കൂസും പാടില്ല.
 
* അടുക്കളയില്‍ കണ്ണാടി തൂക്കുന്നത് നന്നല്ല.
 
* തൊഴില്‍ ഉന്നതിക്കായി ഓഫീസിലും ചില നിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ പാലിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ഇരിപ്പിടത്തിനു പിന്നിലായി പര്‍വതത്തിന്‍റെ ചിത്രം തൂക്കുന്നതും. പ്രധാന വാതിലിനെ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കത്തക്ക വിധം ഇരിപ്പിടം ക്രമീകരിക്കുന്നതും നന്നായിരിക്കും.
