ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ: മാനസിക പ്രശ്നമുള്ള പതിനഞ്ചുകാരിയായ പെൺകുട്ടിയെ ലൈംഗികമായി പീഡിപ്പിച്ച  60 കാരന് കോടതി 20 വർഷം കഠിന തടവ് ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചു. പ്രതിയായ ഇടവ പാറയിൽ സ്വദേശി രവിചന്ദ്രനാണ് ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ ഫാസ്റ്റ് ട്രാക്ക് പോക്സോ കോടതി ജഡ്ജി ടി.പി.പ്രഭാഷ് ലാൽ ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചത്.

തടവ് ശിക്ഷയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പം പിഴയായി 25000 രൂപയും വിധിച്ചു. കേസിലെ ഇരയായ പെൺകുട്ടി ജീവനൊടുക്കിയതിനാൽ ഈ തുക കുട്ടിയുടെ മാതാവിന് നൽകാനാണ് വിധി. 2017 ഒക്ടോബറിലായിരുന്നു കേസിനാസ്പദമായ സംഭവം നടന്നത്.

കടയിൽ നിന്ന് സാധനങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങി മടങ്ങി വരവ് പെൺകുട്ടിയെ പ്രതി വീട്ടിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചിഴച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈകാലുകളും കണ്ണും കെട്ടിയിട്ട ശേഷം പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ സംഭവം നടന്നു മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം വിചാരണയ്ക്ക് മുമ്പ് പെൺകുട്ടി ജീവനൊടുക്കി.
